Prakriti Sharma was born on 29 june in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. Her father, Rajendra Kumar Sharma, is an Advocate and her mother, Sheela Sharma, is run own School. Her father is a native of Madhya Pradesh, while her mother is a native of neemuch. Her brother is Advocate Shailav Sharma.

In an interview she said, "I take pride in saying that I am an Advocate daughter even more than being an actor. She studied in M. P. School and graduated M. Sc. (Computer Science)with specialization in M. Phil from shambhunath digree College(University), Madhya Pradesh. 

She then moved to Mumbai to further her modeling career. And then start Acting career.
